Flanged Only Non-Code Type

Flanged only non-code type heads are primarily used in tanks that are not under pressure. These heads can be formed from carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys. Flanged-only heads can be formed in a size range of 6” to 300” diameter and in a thickness range of 14 Ga. to 1¼” thick. This type of head is manufactured in all 3 of our manufacturing plants. Die formed heads made in Ohio will have a 2T (T = thickness) inside corner (knuckle) radius. Die formed heads made in California will have a 3T (T = thickness) inside corner (knuckle) radius.

The inside corner (knuckle) radius on the spun flanged only heads made in Texas and California is determined by existing tooling and specific customer requirements. Flanged-only heads that are spun will have a small production center hole.
